Master of Ceremony
Patrick Kahakauwila Kamaholelani Landeza is an award-winning slack key guitarist, who has been producing Hawaiian concerts for over twenty years. He has become much of the West Coast’s go-to man for all things related to Hawaiian music, and he is one of the essential seams binding California’s Hawaiian community together.
He spreads aloha with concerts throughout the country and, now, Japan. He published his memoirs, From The Island Of Berkeley, Memoirs From A California-Born Hawaiian, in 2017. In 2019, Landeza received a Lifetime Achievement Ki Ho’alu Legacy award at the 42nd Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards - the first mainland artist to ever receive this recognition.
He is in his 18th year as an educator, now teaching at Moreau Catholic High School. He continues to run Landeza’s Island Catering, and has a line of clothing and jewelry that, quite fittingly, promotes Aloha Everywhere.
